WHAT IS TOTS SOCCER ?

This is where your child's soccer journey begins!!!!!

Tots Soccer is a community program offered for players who are between 2 and 4 years of age as of September 1, 2025.  It is an introduction to organized activity and focuses on activities and games with and without a ball that is age appropriate. 

We run three levels of TOTS.  Tiny Tots (2 yr old), Tots (3&4 year old) and Advanced Tots (4 year old).   

• Tiny Tots is an introduction to fundamental movement, play with the ball, and a heavy dose of FUN!   Tiny Tots is an interactive program that requires a parent or guardian to participate with their child.
• Tots involves coordination exercises and active exercises with the ball - with a primary focus on learning to enjoy having the ball at their feet.
• Advanced Tots involves a general focus on ball handling, learning to play with a partner and in small groups, and an introduction to game play.  Advanced Tots has one practice and one 3v3 game per week.

Sessions generally last 30-45 minutes and parents are required to be present and assist with their child.   The objective of the program is to teach physical literacy and for our littlest players to have a great evening!

• Coordination and movement skills
• Socialization and listening skills
• Coordinated movement with the ball
• Fun age appropriate games for the kids
• FUN!!!!!

South Mississippi Soccer Club is pleased to have Brenda Charman directing our Community and PreSchool Tots program.  Coach Brenda brings more than ten years experience working and directing child care programming and runs a child centric program.  We're excited to welcome her to the SMSC Coaching family !
